If you live in the Houston area, all you have to do to remedy the situation is get in-touch with us to schedule your cosmetic dentistry consultation at Antoine Dental Center.
When you get here, we’ll come up with the perfect plan for treatment, or combination of treatments for your current needs.
Don’t put it off! We can’t wait to help you transform your smile, In the meantime, you can be thinking about the following cosmetic dentistry possibilities…
Over time, your teeth will tend to become discolored on their own. And your daily dose of coffee (or other pleasures) will leave a mark on them too.
How can you fix it? With a teeth whitening treatment from Antoine Dental Center! Around here, we offer multiple methods of teeth whitening.
These include in-office whitening and professional-grade take-home whitening kits.
Our techniques are much safer and far more effective than those mass-produced store-bought kits. During your consultation, we can help you choose the approach that best meets your needs, such as our super-fast Zoom! method.
Bonding is a cost-effective cosmetic solution that we can employ to correct small blemishes on your teeth.
With this procedure, a durable, tooth-colored material is bonded directly to your tooth to restore it to a more pristine condition. It is fast, effective and painless!
When you lose a tooth as an adult you will feel ashamed, antisocial, and depressed. You won’t look the same and your health will deteriorate as you are unable to chew the fiber-rich foods that you love.
To restore your life, as well as your looks and biting power, we offer dental implants that serve as replacement roots and teeth.
Our implants are strong posts made of titanium. Once installed, an implant will immediately begin to fuse to your jawbone providing a permanent anchor for your replacement tooth.
Your Invisalign treatment will be comfortable, fast, effective, safe, and very subtle. And, unlike traditional braces (which can take 2-3 years), your transformation can be completed in only 12 months.
Throughout the Invisalign treatment process, you will wear a series of clear, removable aligners instead of metal brackets and wires.
You switch them out yourself, so there’s no need for adjustments. And you can take them at dinner time or if you need to rinse them off.
Veneers can hide a wide range of dental problems. During this cosmetic procedure, we simply remove a small amount of enamel from your teeth and then cement the porcelain veneers on top of them.

Did you know that, in addition to making you look better, braces also boost your health by significantly lowering your risk for cavities and gum disease? Consider that a bonus!
And, another thing: braces are not just for teens! In our book, it is never too late to transform your smile!
If you are well into adulthood and did not have the opportunity for orthodontic treatment in childhood, don’t assume that you have missed your window of opportunity. That’s hardly ever the case.
Today we want to go over some of the basics of braces. Read on and then be sure to follow up to schedule your orthodontic consultation with us!
What Is The Consultation Like?
During your initial appointment, our orthodontics team will examine your mouth to make sure your teeth and gums are healthy and disease-free. We will then design your treatment plan based on our examination and conversation. We’ll also need to take dental X-rays, make impressions of your teeth, etc.
Before you leave, we’ll explain each step of the treatment process thoroughly so that you can head into your treatment feeling comfortable with your choices and confident in your results.
What Do Orthodontics Address?
Orthodontics are a specialized field of dentistry. But within this realm there are many dental issues that we can help correct.
Normally we accomplish the desired transformation with the help of braces, aligners, expanders, retainers and other devices. These orthodontic appliances apply the necessary pressure on your teeth to shift them to a more perfect position over the course of your treatment.
Some of your treatment options include classic metal braces, Invisalign aligners, and clear ceramic braces.
How Long Does It Take?
Your treatment time will inevitably vary depending on your current age, the severity of your condition, and the technique that is chosen to address your orthodontic issues. Just for an example, Invisalign only takes about 12 months. Other solutions may take 2-3 years, especially for adults.
How Much Does It Cost?
We can’t really give you an accurate estimation until you come in for your consultation. But, remember, the costs will also vary according to your unique treatment plan and timetable. No matter which treatment you decide on, we will try to make it as easy as possible for you to pay.

By visiting our online home, you have taken an important first step. The next thing you’ll want to do is schedule your next appointment with our caring and compassionate 5-dentist team. But that is not always an easy thing to do.
If you suffer from any dental anxiety, it can be a real obstacle for you. And by not confronting the reality of your oral health needs now, you will only be making your problems more painful and costly to address later. So, don’t do that!
You may not realize it, but you need our professional cleanings to help keep plaque and tartar from creating unhealthy situations. You also deserve to know if any gum disease or tooth decay is emerging so that these things can be attended to while they can still be easily reversed. And you wouldn’t want to go too long without a cancer screening. But on a certain level, you probably know that stuff already.
Here’s our deal: we know that your issues are real, and we take them very seriously. That is why we make preventative maintenance and all of our other dental treatments pain-free and pleasant by providing a welcoming environment and by also offering sedation dentistry options customized to fit your needs. Refreshments, blankets, and entertainment go a long way, but they can only do so much to put you at ease. Trust us, sedation dentistry will take care of the rest!
Sedation Dentistry Makes Oral Health Easy
Around here, we can provide sedation whenever you need to undergo an invasive procedure or deal with your fear of the dentist. There are three types of sedation offering different levels of relaxation:
Inhalation Sedation: This type of sedation is the most frequently used of the three. It involves the use of nitrous oxide (aka: laughing gas) to normalize your bodily functions and relax you for the dental treatment.
Oral Sedation: If your treatment is non-invasive and you only have mild dental fear, you may settle for an orally administered form of sedation. Our dentist will give you a pill that you have to take prior to your operation.
Intravenous Sedation: If your treatment is invasive or you have severe dental fear, you may count on this intravenous sedation to make things easier for you. This form of sedation is administered by injecting the sedative into your bloodstream. The result is immediate and you may relax almost instantly.
Come See Why There’s No Need To Fear This Dentist!
Your oral health is too important to ignore. And your dental problems won’t simply go away all by themselves. It’s time to confront the reality of the situation in your mouth!
If you are looking for a gentle dentist in the Houston, Texas area who can address your specific needs, call us at 713-364-8990 to schedule your next appointment. Be sure to ask about your sedation options!
Welcome to the Antoine Dental Center blog!
We are your trusted source for dentistry solutions in the Houston, Texas area. Our 5 top-notch dentists bring a unique breadth and depth of experience to our practice that helps make it easy for your family to get the care they need at every stage of life.
You know, by the time you are fully grown, you will have 32 teeth. There are four different types of teeth, each with a special role to play. Unfortunately, most of us were not endowed with perfectly straight, evenly spaced teeth. That’s life. And that’s why we do what we do!
Still, this can be hard to handle, especially are entering adolescence, that magical time when you become preoccupied with the way you look, and the way that others perceive you.
So, if your teenager has problematic teeth that are plagued by gaps, crowding, or crookedness, we can certainly help straighten things out. Their health and appearance can be greatly improved (and forever) through an orthodontic treatment. Who wouldn’t want that for themselves?
That said, most kids don’t look forward to a long, drawn-out treatment that cramps their style and worsens their look all the while. That’s why we suggest that you take a closer look at Invisalign as an option, since it has been modified to work on adolescent teeth.
Teens Love Invisalign
Your teen will love that Invisalign doesn’t have any impact on your appearance during treatment because this method does not require any clunky metal brackets or wires! On the contrary, these braces are clear!
Instead of wires and brackets, Invisalign uses transparent, lightweight aligners made of plastic. These fit nicely over the teeth and are custom-built using advanced imagery to ensure a comfortable fit. The aligners gradually guide your teeth into the more preferred position in small increments, until it’s time to change aligners every two weeks or so.
There will be no painful adjustments, or wires to break or poke you in the soft tissues at the back of your mouth. Your teen will simply pop in the new aligners when appropriate, and they will be good to go.
Another reason your teen will love Invisalign is that maintenance of the aligners couldn’t be any easier. Special brushes and tools, that you need to keep braces clean, won’t be necessary. For cleaning, you simply remove the aligners and clean them under lukewarm water! Easy enough, right?
What’s more, since they’re removable, your teenager will have the ability to continue eating whatever their growing body demands without any restrictions.
When we are through, the results will be just as gorgeous as a traditional orthodontic treatment would deliver, but it won’t involve as much time or as many hassles.
In short, Invisalign is discreet, safe, fast and effective. What more could you ask for in a treatment for your teen?

Welcome to the Antoine Dental Center blog!
We are your trusted source for dentistry solutions in the Houston, Texas area. And beyond providing competent care, we’ll make it easy for you to get the services you need.
If you are someone living with a rag-tag collection of teeth, we can help you transform that mess into a beautiful smile. And your life in general will be better when we are through with you. That’s because your orthodontic issues may likely be more than just aesthetic problems. Health issues such as increased risk for decay (crowded teeth are difficult to clean) or headaches and jaw pain (due to a bad bite or misaligned teeth) can arise if you don’t take action now.
But don’t worry, we can make the magic happen without the need for metal brackets and wires, and without eating up 2-3 years of your life.
So, how can we quickly make a major orthodontic makeover happen in your mouth without conventional materials and timetables?
We do it through a forward-looking technique known as Invisalign. This method was first introduced at the end of the 1990s and has been making patients happy ever since. This is especially true of adult patients who lack the patience for all the hassles that go along with classic metal braces. Don’t worry, we will explain each step of the treatment process thoroughly so that you can begin the experience comfortable with your choices and confident in your results.
Invisalign: A New Approach To An Old Problem
Invisalign clear braces tackle the problem of crooked, crowded, or gapped teeth by shifting things around in a series of transitional stages, each one getting you closer to your desired results.
For all that to happen, we rely on all the latest and greatest in dental technology to craft a succession of nearly invisible plastic aligners that are based on molds of your teeth. Instead of coming in for monthly orthodontic adjustments, you will be able to simply switch them out at home every two weeks to keep your treatment on track.
Rather than making use of stark metal wires and brackets, Invisalign aligners are made of a gentle yet durable plastic that feels natural on your gums, cheeks and tongue. And the good news is that they won’t be noticed by outsiders. So, no unwanted questions or rude comments will be aimed at you during work hours, or any other time.
You won’t have to alter much about your lifestyle, either. These smooth, comfortable aligners are also removable, which means that your eating habits won’t have to be modified. And cleaning your gear is as simple as rinsing the aligners under warm water! There won’t be any need for special tool to pry food out of your gear!
Overall, Invisalign is a safe, subtle, and effective program. And treatment time is usually only a matter of months, depending on the severity of the problems you start with.
Fair warning: Invisalign is not for everyone. But you should see if it could work for you!

Welcome to the Antoine Dental Center blog!
If you are looking for a great dentist in Houston, you are in luck. We actually have 5 spectacular dentists on staff here. And our entire team subscribes to the notion that going to the dentist doesn’t have to be inconvenient or uncomfortable.
That’s why we try to make dentistry as easy and pleasant as possible. And we have applied that principle to dental crowns, a service that used to require multiple visits and could drag on for up to a month before the procedure was complete.
CEREC Makes Crowns The Easy Way
Like we said, at Antoine Dental Center, we value your time as much as you do, and we don’t want to waste any of it unnecessarily. That’s why we have invested heavily in CEREC dental crown technology that offers our patients an easy, reliable way to fix a number of issues.
CEREC is short for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. You don’t have to remember that. Just remember that what CEREC means for you is that we can do in about an hour what may take several weeks at another dentist’s practice.
The CEREC process starts when we make a digital impression of the tooth or teeth that need work. We then reshape your teeth into an abutment that will support your dental crown.
The thing to keep in mind is that, at other area practices, this may require sending your impression to a laboratory. The lab will then craft a dental crown for you as soon as they can get around to filling that order. You know as well as we do that it could be weeks before they are able to get to your dental crown and send it back to the dentist.
That’s not how it works here. With CEREC, we can sidestep that issue by doing it all in-house, which saves you from having to make an extra trip to the dentist. With CEREC, we use our on-site milling machine to craft your dental crown while you wait.
By utilizing modern computer software, we are able to send a digital impression of your teeth to the CEREC machine. The machine turns that information into a dental crown for you.
You can walk into our office with a tooth that has been really bothering you and go home with a natural-looking, more comfortable smile.
Immediately after your CEREC dental crowns are placed in your mouth, you will see and feel the difference. It’s an easy way to fix any number of dental problems without a big commitment of time.
CEREC crowns can quickly repair the appearance of your teeth and restore your bite force. On a practical level, this means that you can smile without feeling self-conscious, and you can eat without worry.
There’s really nothing to it. But if fear or dental anxiety has kept you from getting your tooth replaced or repaired, our sedation options can comfortably provide you with the treatment you need. All you have to do is ask. We’ll do whatever it takes to get you smiling again!
Make It Happen!
Are you ready to enjoy the many benefits of your restored dental health? With summer just around the corner, there couldn’t be a better time to take the next step. So, contact us today to see if CEREC crowns are the right treatment for you.

Today we want to talk about a tough topic: tooth loss in adults. When this happens, there most assuredly won’t be any tooth fairies dropping by to stuff cash under your pillow. But that’s not the worst of it.
Missing teeth can make you feel self-conscious about your appearance and make it difficult to eat and carry on a conversation. Missing teeth can also increase your risk of periodontal disease, cavities, bone loss, tooth loss, and deterioration of your facial structure.
But there is some good news for those of you dealing with this bad situation: dental implants are a viable solution for your problems. And our team of highly skilled implant dentists have undertaken hundreds of hours of education and advanced training to be able to provide you with this permanent fix.
You will love all that our implants can do for you. Keep reading to see why, and then be sure to get on our calendar with your implant consultation in our Houston office.
Implants Are Accessible
This simple surgical procedure involves a two-step process.
The implants themselves are titanium screw-like posts that replace the root of your natural tooth. Over a period of about 4 months, your jawbone heals around the implant and absorbs it. After the healing period, we will be able to attach an abutment to the implant to firmly hold your restoration in place. These restorations include porcelain crowns, dental bridges, or dentures.
Implants Restore Your Good Looks
Without a full set of teeth, your smile, along with your confidence, will plummet. And you will look old before your time. As such, you social and professional worlds will be adversely impacted.
Lucky for you, the crown we place over the implant will look and feel completely natural, it will give you a fuller smile and facial support. You’ll be back in action before you know it!
Implants Fit Naturally
It is not an exaggeration to say that, when it comes to artificial teeth, nothing will be as easy or as comfortable as a dental implant. Our implant and crown combination feels great in your mouth.
Implants Give You Biting Power
After the second part of the procedure, you will recover real biting power. This means that you can go back to eating the foods you love, and the fiber-rich items that keeps you healthy and happy.
Implants Are Easy To Care For
With implants, you just keep brushing twice a day and flossing like you normally would, and come into our office for regular checkups to make sure your gums are healthy.
Implant Options At Antoine
Our Houston office is your go-to place for all types of implants, including traditional dental implants, mini implants, All on 4 implants, and All on 6 implants.
How do you know which one is right for you?
There are a few factors that we will take into consideration: the condition of your remaining teeth, the number of teeth you are missing, your jawbone density, the state of your oral health and general health, and to a certain extent, your finances, will help us determine whether you are a better candidate for a particular type of dental implant process.

Preventing Tooth Decay
Today we want to talk about a sore subject: tooth decay! This is something that touches the majority of Americans at some point in life, and might not ever be too big of a deal if detected and treated early on. Still, it can cause real problems for you if left unattended. Think root canals and extractions!
And most folks don’t notice anything in the early stages of tooth decay, so they don’t even realize that they are at risk for future pain and expense.
This just illustrates the importance of scheduling your regular checkups at our Houston-area office. When you are here, every six months or so, we’ll have a chance to deeply clean your teeth and closely examine your mouth for the telltale signs of cavities.
Plus, we’ll be able to add extra layers of protection with our dental sealants and fluoride treatments. But more on that in a minute!
Here’s the deal: as bacteria gathers on your teeth, it forms a clingy film known as plaque. And the dangerous bacteria in plaque feeds on sugar from your food and changes it into acid that corrodes your tooth enamel and causes decay.
Once that bacteria slips below your gum-line, in addition to cavities, you could also be face to face with gingivitis and periodontal disease, two forms of gum disease that have nasty consequences for your mouth and possibly your overall health.
But you can fight back! And we are here to be your ally in this battle for the health of your smile. You’ll be happy to know that we have a good strategy that involves cleanings, sealants and fluoride!
Bacteria often attacks the natural grooves of your chewing surfaces. That’s because it is difficult for you to clean these parts of your teeth thoroughly. Accordingly, when we place sealants on these areas, it guards against the bacteria-producing acid that is waiting to erode your teeth.
Before placing dental sealants, we will clean your teeth with a rotating brush. After drying your teeth, one of our preventive dentists will prepare your teeth with a solution so that the sealant will stick. Next, we will dry your teeth again and place the sealant on the teeth. Depending on the type of sealant we use, we harden it with either a special light or some other method. After that, you’ll be able to enjoy the benefits of extra protection!
Besides cleanings and sealants, simply adding some fluoride to your daily routine is effective at stopping this process in its tracks. Fluoride actually forms its own protective film on your teeth. This film thwarts the bacteria’s ability to stick together, which makes it nearly impossible for plaque to gain a foothold on your teeth.
Beyond that, fluoride can even inhibit the conversion of sugar into acid, buying you some more time to fight off the bacteria. Also, it aids in a process known as remineralization, wherein your body uses calcium to replace the minerals lost from the early stages of tooth decay.
If you have a higher propensity for falling prey to decay, we will likely suggest special toothpastes, mouth rinses and brushes along with more frequent cleaning appointments.
We also offer fluoride treatments that are quick, in-office affairs in which we apply a concentrated fluoride solution onto your teeth. This painless procedure will harden your enamel and reduce your risk of gum disease.
